Our Story

Meet Fabiola & Akinwande

Hi, we’re Fabiola and Akinwande Robert, the couple behind Haiti Meets Nigeria: 90 Days to Covenant.

And honestly? Our story is living proof that love does not always arrive in the package, country, culture, or timing you expected. Sometimes, God writes a story so beautifully unexpected that all you can do is laugh, pray, grow, and say, “Okay Lord, we see what You did there!”

One Haitian woman. One Nigerian man. Two strong cultures. Plenty of personality. A whole lot of faith. And one decision to build a life together with God at the center.

Our relationship has taught us that love is beautiful, but lasting love requires more than butterflies and good morning texts. It takes friendship, patience, prayer, honest conversations, emotional maturity, laughter, forgiveness, and the willingness to understand someone whose background may be completely different from your own.

Trust us, cultural differences are real! From family expectations and communication styles to food, traditions, and the way certain things are expressed, there is always something new to learn. But we have also discovered that when two people are willing to listen, grow, and keep choosing one another, those differences can become part of what makes the relationship so special.

That is why Haiti Meets Nigeria is deeply personal to us.

We are not standing on the outside telling people how to date. We have lived the beauty, the questions, the adjustments, the prayers, the distance, the laughter, and the growing pains of building a cross-cultural marriage. We know what it means to love someone deeply while still learning how they think, communicate, process emotions, and view marriage.

And yes, sometimes it takes prayer. Sometimes it takes a serious conversation. Sometimes it takes a little space. And sometimes it takes food because nobody needs to discuss a major relationship issue while hungry!

Through this experience, we want every participant to feel supported, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. This is not another dating platform where people swipe, disappear, and waste each other’s time.

It is a guided journey created for people who are serious about love, faith, growth, and marriage.

We believe attraction matters. Chemistry matters. Having fun matters too. But we also believe people should be able to discuss faith, family, finances, children, emotional wellness, purpose, culture, boundaries, expectations, and the future before calling someone “the one.”

Our goal is not to pressure anyone into marriage within 90 days. Our goal is to help participants use those 90 days wisely, so they can make decisions with clarity instead of confusion, wisdom instead of pressure, and purpose instead of loneliness.

Our Reason

Why We Created Haiti Meets Nigeria

We created Haiti Meets Nigeria: 90 Days to Covenant because we believe there are sincere Haitian and Nigerian singles who are tired of shallow conversations, undefined situationships, inconsistent communication, and relationships with no clear direction.

Many people are successful, prayerful, loving, and ready for marriage, yet still find themselves asking:

“Where are the serious people?”

That question is part of why we are here.

We want to create a community where faith is respected, intentions are clear, standards are not mocked, and people can get to know one another in a safe, structured, meaningful, and enjoyable way.

There will be serious conversations, but there will also be laughter.

There will be reflection, but there will also be games, challenges, virtual dates, cultural experiences, and beautiful moments of connection.

Because getting ready for covenant should not feel like a ninety-day job interview!

We want participants to enjoy the journey while still honoring the purpose behind it.

A Promise

Our Commitment to You

We cannot promise that every introduction will become a marriage. No honest matchmaking experience should make that promise.

What we can promise is that we will lead with care, prayer, integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and respect.

We will encourage participants to stay open without abandoning their standards.

We will challenge them to be honest about what they want and equally honest about what they bring into a relationship.

We will remind them that being ready for marriage is not only about finding the right person. It is also about becoming emotionally, spiritually, and practically prepared to build with them.

Throughout the journey, we hope participants will see us not only as the founders, but as a couple cheering them on, praying for their clarity, laughing with them, and reminding them that a healthy, God-centered love story is still possible.

Welcome to our world.

Welcome to the meeting of two nations, two cultures, and one shared faith.

And maybe, just maybe, welcome to the beginning of your own beautiful story.

Two Nations. One Faith. One Purpose.
