Teaching note · Both tracks
Money before marriage, not after
The financial conversation we will not let you skip.
Reading
Take your time with it.
By week 8 you should both be able to answer, out loud, without flinching:
What do you earn, roughly, and how steady is it? What do you owe, and to whom? Who do you support back home, how much, and is it negotiable? What does your family expect financially from your marriage? Do you tithe or give, and how do you decide? Who would manage the money, and how would you settle a disagreement about it?
A warning. If a member asks you for money, a loan, a phone, a ticket, school fees or help with a business at any point in these ninety days, do not send it. Tell us. Every single time. That is a boundary, not an insult.
