Scams do not usually begin with a request for money. They begin with intensity: fast declarations, urgent secrecy, and a reluctance to be seen or verified. The money comes later, once you feel responsible for the person.
Red flags that should end a conversation
Any one of these is enough to stop and verify before continuing.
- Any request for money, airtime, gifts, or help with fees
- Refusal to appear on live, unscheduled video
- Pressure to move to a private channel immediately
- Interest in your immigration status before your character
- Stories that shift, or details that cannot be checked
- Insistence on secrecy from your family and church
What screening actually looks like
In this house, identity, selfie, and live video verification are completed before any introduction is offered. Applications indicating immigration arrangements, sponsorship hunting, or financial solicitation are declined outright, and members who pursue them after admission are removed.
No member is ever permitted to request money from another member. There is no exception, no matter how sympathetic the story.
